What apprentices will learn
  • assembling, positioning and fixing steel components

  • interpreting drawings and specifications

  • working at heights

  • cutting, bending and connecting reinforcing steel

  • safe techniques for moving, lifting and handling steel components

Qualifications
  • before taking their end-point assessment apprentices must have achieved level 1 English and maths (equivalent to GCSE grades 3 to 1 or D to G). They must also have taken level 2 English and maths (equivalent to GCSE grades 9 to 4 or A* to C)

  • apprentices completing this apprenticeship will achieve a level 2 RQF diploma and level 2 NVQ in steel fixing occupations (construction)
